Introducing the Women's Work Festival Play Book Club!
Women of the fur trade by frances koncan
The Women's Work Festival is thrilled to announce a brand new initiative designed to bring our community of playwrights, actors, and theatre makers closer together: the WWF Play Book Club! This exciting project, conceived and curated by our dedicated WWF Administrator, Ana Pitol and the Playwriting Unit Facilitator and award-winning playwright, Santiago Guzmán, will offer unique opportunities to engage with contemporary plays and the incredible minds behind them.
First Up: Women of the Fur Trade by Frances Koncan
We are delighted to kick off the Play Book Club with a discussion of Women of the Fur Trade by the critically acclaimed playwright Frances Koncan. Praised by Ian Ross of the Winnipeg Free Press as "a timely, provocative piece of theatre written from a perspective and voice we need to hear," this play promises to spark an engaging and insightful conversation. The first session will feature Frances Koncan herself, offering an unparalleled opportunity to hear directly from the author.
Exclusive Discount for Play Book Club Participants!
