​Call for a New Board Member: Women's Work Festival

The Women's Work Festival (WWF) is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced individual with a background in law, human resources, nonprofit management, or accounting to join our Board of Directors. As we approach our 20th anniversary in 2026, we are looking for a dedicated professional to help guide the organization through its next phase of growth and solidify our legal and administrative foundation.

About the Women's Work Festival

The Women's Work Festival is a week-long celebration dedicated to advancing the creative work of women and other marginalized genders in theatre. Our festival provides a vital platform for the development of new plays through a diverse program that includes readings, music performances, workshops, panels, and special events. We are committed to championing the voices of these communities and promoting intersectionality, ensuring our programming reflects a wide range of experiences, cultures, ages, races, sexual orientations, gender identities, and abilities.


Key Responsibilities

We are looking for a candidate, preferably with a background in law, to support the General Manager and the board. Key responsibilities include:

  • Reviewing and providing feedback on contracts.
  • Assisting with the legal aspects of applications and staff-related matters.


Commitment and Time

Board meetings are held every two months and last approximately two hours.
The new board member must also be available to attend:
-  The Annual General Meeting in October 4 at 10 am and. 

- The upcoming strategic planning retreat on November 7, 8 and 9.
