Performance Walk

Come to celebrate the International Women’s Day Performance Walk! We will start at the hall then make our way to the Anna Templeton Centre for poetry, music, and comedy pop up performances then return to the hall for our Hot Chocolate Social and our first ever Women’s Work Fair featuring local vendors.

creating connections - sound Design Circle

Join us for the inaugural edition of Creating Connections, a special event within the Women’s Work Festival!

This year, we’re focusing on bridging the gap between music and theatre, inviting musicians to explore the exciting world of sound design. 

This engaging session with Ana Luisa Ramos and Michelle LaCour will provide insights into the collaborative process of theatre sound design, covering aspects as reading and analyzing plays to understand their sonic needs, effective communication and consultation with directors, active participation in collaborative design group meetings, practical techniques for conducting recording sessions, creative methods for producing impactful sound effects, seamless integration of sound design into final rehearsals and the importance and implementation of cue-to-cue rehearsals.
